| To obtain a Mississippi Learner's Permit, you need to be at least 15 years old. You must clear a vision test, knowledge test and pay the required fee to receive your Learner's Permit . To get your Drivers License, you need demonstrate satisfactory operation of a motor vehicle and clear any physical or mental examination the DMV may find necessary to gauge your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
Note: You can also get a restricted Learner's Permit at 14 and ½ years of age. For the 14 ½ year old learner's permit you must be able to provide proof of being enrolled in a driver's education program from the school that you are attending. |
